STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Starting this weekend, Minthorne Street, which houses a trendy, converted 33,000-square-foot warehouse with a row of restaurants in Tompkinsville, will be closed on weekends to vehicle traffic so patrons can dine out.
Father-and-son team Gary and Sam Angiuli — who own the building that is named after the street on which it sits — said that while they are still fine-tuning all the details with their tenants and the city, Minthorne Street will have a “soft opening” of the city’s Open Streets dining program this Saturday.
